What are natural dyed fabrics?
These are fabrics made from yarn which has been dyed with vegetable dyes obtained from plant sources like leaves, bark and roots.
How do I take care of the natural dyed garments?
These can be hand-washed or machine washed with similar colours using a mild detergent.
How do I take care of the block print garments?
These can be hand-washed or machine washed with similar colours using a mild detergent.
Do I need to shrink the unstitched fabrics?
The block prints are preshrunk. The natural dyed unstitched fabric should be shrunk in water for a couple of hours.
Why is there some discolouration under the arms of my block-printed garment after wearing it a few times?
The acid from the sweat might react with the chemical dyes and cause that area to stain. Strong deodorants or perfumes might also affect the colours, specially gold and silver. If you have a tendency to perspire a lot, please have an extra layer of fabric stitched under the arms.
Do the natural dyed fabrics bleed?
There might be slight bleeding initially from the dark indigo or red Alizarine fabrics, which after a couple of washes stabilises.
Why are there white spots on my natural dyed fabric after a wash?
White spots will only occur on the fabric, if the detergent has not been mixed well with water before washing. These white spots are areas where the detergent has fallen directly on the fabric and has caused a bleaching effect. Please ensure detergent is mixed well in the water
